need opinions! Datejust2 116334 dark rohdium Diamond VS silver Diamond
Hello,
I restart a new thread from the last one because I think Diamond watch should stay within is category. Here is the question. Between the dark rohdium Diamond and the silver Diamond. Which one would you prefer? Reason? Why would you pick that dial? What's the pro and con between them? Any suggestion/opinions would help! Thank you everyone! So that way I can make a clear decision to purchase. IMG_0986.jpg IMG_0983.JPG |

Between the dark rhodium Diamond and the silver Diamond.
Which one would you prefer? --Sorry but I'm not a fan of DJII as proportions seem off. If I still had to pick a dial I'd choose the grey. Reason? Why would you pick that dial? --The smoke grey looks very elegant and you don't see it as frequently as you see silver. What's the pro and con between them? --Silver: popular, readable, casual and matches --Smoke Grey: elegant, less common, not as easy to read as silver but would match silver, grey, black wardrobe very well. Any suggestion/opinions would help --It's ultimately your decision. If you walked into AD and they said they'd give you just one and you'd never get the other, which would you pick? |

My wife/muse says she likes the contrast of the dark rhodium diamond dial. i have to agree as look at the shadowing in the photo and the darker dial better matches the shadowing than the other dial. Also, darker dial with lighter Rolex logo etc looks better to me.
Just our humble opinion.

I like the darker...although I have seen the lighter dial in the wild a couple times and it looked pretty good.
I like the contrast of the darker dial |

Do you have to get one of these two?
My gut says go for the silver dial just because of how hard the rhodium is to read. Good luck. |

Rhodium dial, really great color and contrast, although as said above, harder to read perhaps.

Rhodium without a doubt. The contrast of the dial with the diamonds and metal looks great, as opposed to the silver which kind of makes everything look washed and faded.

Thank you folks.
As most of you think rhodium one is better to have. Here's other thing, what about the value of these 2 watches? Are they good to substain? |

Call around and tell dealers you have one for sale in mint condition with box, papers, etc and see what they offer you for it. That should give you an idea for what you should pay for one.

Usually I agree with popular opinion on these forums but...In the case, I'd much prefer the rhodium. However, a buddy of mine actually got this watch and tried on both a number of times. As much we both wanted to like the rhodium more, the silver appeared better looking on the wrist. Maybe a year after this, I was at an AD and ended up trying both on for kicks. I still preferred the silver on the wrist and the rhodium in the case.

Choose what you want, not what others suggest. You should feel it yourself when you try them on. Everyone has taste that soots them. You probably already know which one you want inside and are looking for help to justify your choice. I like both but it also depends on what you currently own or want to own. I have considered this watch myself but it doesn't push my buttons enough to pull the trigger but I do like the clean look of the silver. My Yachtmaster really looks elegant yet sporty. Good luck on your quest but be true to yourself.

I'm a fan of the silver. I have the silver stick dial and love the way it reacts with light. It also changes appearance depending on surrounding colours. It looks more golden under warm lighting for example.

I think I would pick the dark rhodium Diamond one. That one just don't see much on any other Rolex and most people on the post are right. It is so elegant when see in person, speacially when combo Diamond with dark rhodium dial! Picking up one tomorrow!
