8:30a.m. GMT every day
I've noticed for quite a while that at 8:30AM GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) also known as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) the forum will go into a bit of a spasm.
It tends to slow up quite a lot in it's responsiveness for maybe 15 minutes or so.

I think it has something to do with the forum service provider, but you are right Frostie, the forum does get slow around the stated time for a while, sometimes worse than others.
Thankfully it is not a problem for more than about 15 minutes at around 8:30am UTC.

Well that would make PERFECT sense... the server backups run at 1AM PST which, if my head is not in my rear (wouldn't be anything new ) is 08:00 GMT. The backup takes roughly 1/2 hour to complete, then other smaller less intensive cron tasks run. Elementary really
