Finally a crown at12 o'clock, now fitting a riveted link?
Have just bought a beautiful and honest 1966 6694 on a rivet oyster bracelet. I've done plenty bracelet adjustments in the past, but on push out or screw links.. What's the easy explanation on how to fit the extra link that came with the watch?

You have to pry open the links on the inside of the bracelet, insert the additional link and then bend them closed. Much easier said than done... it's something I would only trust a skilled watchmaker (who's done it before) to do.

Aaaaha... Maybe I'll have a VERY careful try first with something not prone to scratching the bracelet......

will probably involve contact with the outside of the links. I think "VERY careful" is the right approach. Hope it goes well. |
