Anyone have a 2nd gen Monster?

Anyone here have a 2nd generation Seiko Monster? Ive been looking at these lately and love the look. Seem like a fantastic value. Looking to pick up a used one as a replacement for my very sentimental g shock. How are they?

I have an SRP581 and had an SRP307 before. Great watches that can take anything you throw at them. Nice to be able to hack and wind the movement too. Fun watch to change up the straps on

I have owned both the first and second generation Black Monster. They are nice watches and very tough. I ended up selling both. I am now hooked on the SRP 777, the Turtle case is amazing and the movement is spot on. Also the rubber strap is the softest I have ever owned. It is a little more money than the Monster, but well worth it in my opinion. Try to buy a Seiko that has the movement made in Japan.

Not to be rude, but I believe that model with Pepsi bezel is the SRP779. The SRP777 is the all black model on a rubber strap.

If you like the "tooth" hour markers, then the rest of 2nd gen monster is great. just like 1st gen, just better.

movement is hand-windable and hackable, the lume is bright and seems more "white" during the day. The crown is different, some people love it, some people can't stand it.

But again, if you like the style, you can't go wrong with it.
