If only I had that printed out to circle #9 and hand it to the doctor when they asked me to rate my pain.

I work as a provider in Urgent Care and found it hysterical! You're welcome!

If after seeing that chart someone still says their pain is a 9 they should have to watch the bear scene from the Revenant and then asked if they would like to change their answer.

God, I hate being asked to rate my pain when going to the VA.

I'm always in some kind of pain and I'm not going to lie about it, but assigning a number to it seems idiotic to me.

Scrub treatment for burns is an 11. Everything else is somewhere under that, but I'm not sure where.

Sad that this is what it's been reduced to, emblematic of how depersonalized healthcare has become...

What exactly do you provide?

It was a joke. Sorry you can't see it for what it is.

Sorry I missed it; but you do know I was referring to you describing yourself as a "provider" rather than as a doctor, nurse, therapist, etc right?

Sorry that I mentioned it. I just miss the days when there were doctors, nurses, and patients. Now it seems everyone is either a "provider" or a "customer".

I'm just old fashioned I guess.

I won't comment further, please accept my apology if I offended.
