THIS is the advice that resonates most with me. Gonna get a 5164.

Help choosing

How 'bout this option:

Instead of a 5164, what if I get a 5119R *and* a 5167? That way I get a classy, thin precious metal dress watch AND a sporty Patek that'll get plenty of wrist time...

If you will wear both, sure. I'd probably get the 5164 and one I love than 2 I like.

Well, I've discovered that I absolutely love the 5711 with blue dial. I'm on a wait list for one, but it's long.

No matter what I get, I'll always be wanting a 5711. I know that now. So I'm going to wait it out.

I am tempted by a 5227R, since I foresee it complementing a 5711 well down the road, and not too tempted by a 5164, unless the plan would be to sell it when the 5711 arrives.

I think my best plan is to just be patient and wait for the 5711. Hopefully, I'll be happy with it for 5 years or so when I can save up for a 5205R ...

Not sure I can wait that long though!
