A Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph…?

Anyone been in touch with AL&S recently, and learned that they’re ceasing production of the regular 1815 Chronograph models, leaving just the Boutique only version?

Bit of an odd decision, but with Richemont’s current situation, could this be seen as the thin edge of the wedge?

Little hard to believe.
Perhaps that means the "boutique" edition will now replace the regular model and become available through dealers? I liked it when I saw it in person.

I didn't hear that and it sounds strange that they'll only buffering the watch at their boutiques while ending production of the standard model. I'd wait till SIHH and see.

That's a strange and unless confirmed I would take these words as speculation only.

Not speculation, just spoke with an AD and they had to ask, but it is confirmed the 1815 chronos are no more – officially from April next year.
There are none even available now, so my presumption is that AL&S are no longer taking any new orders for them, and once the current production quota has been met for outstanding orders, that’s it.

On PuristSPro, a couple of comments stated that even the boutique model is also gone, giving rise to speculation that SIHH might see a replacement range introduced.
Plausible, but then equally so if they weren’t as popular a seller so as to warrant being kept in production, especially if the same slot can be used for more profitable models or increased output of the more popular pieces.

Interesting. Let's see what SIHH 2017 brings...

Thanks for the update
