JLC CEO-watches in collection

I throw this out there more as as data point than to start a discussion.

Daniel Riedo, CEO of JLC answered some questions online at Reddit today. One was, "What watch brands do you own in your personal collection besides JLC"?

His answer: "Rolex, Tudor, Panerai and Lange".

Was surprised he lead with Rolex and Tudor.

Maybe he thought the sister brand needed some attention.

I like his taste in timepieces... I have 1 Rolex, 2 Panerai, and 2 Lange.

Whats wrong with Panerai. Good price point. A real collectors watch as most people don't even know what they are.

Why? Both richemont brands, along with ALS.

Re Rolex and Tudor: please do remember that Daniel Riedo is an ex Rolex person, he served for 12 years in various positions in the production in Rolex, and as CEO of Tudor.

Nothing wrong with Panerai, though I wouldn't want any modern Tudor.

Another trumpet for Panerai here....is there any more pure toolwatch with such a pleasing aesthetic than the base PAM? If there is I've never seen it (and I've seen a lot of watches).

Did he say which specific watches?

In addition to the Swiss cousins mrntioned above Seiko SKX, Prospex and latest Padi series are real tool dive watches.

If the tool is designed to be huge and shiny - no.
