First AP, need some help
Hey guys,
I purchased my first AP from a vendor on the forums about 2 monthgs ago. It was brand new. I recently noticed that it keeps dying / stopping on me. For example, Saturday 10:10am, watch stops working after its been worn for the last 3 days. I ended up giving it a little shake and it started to work again. This has happened a few times in the span of 2 weeks. I was recommended to give it a wind by the local AP AD, "30-40 winds". I have done that twice now, but the watch does not keep power. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance! |

How Long does the power reserve last after a full wind say 40 rounds? Less than 24hrs?
It's either your watch has been magantise or it might be mainspring problem or might be something else. Send it to clearwaters For a check. |

What AP model is it?
How active are you — sat at a desk all day, for example? |

If it's brand new just send it in. Probably a spring problem.
Have you tested to wind it fully 40+ rotations of the crown and let it rest. Time how long it will run for. I'd recommend doing it. Then you can be sure. If it runs for about 40 hours, then there's no problem, considerably less, then there's a problem with the watch. What about your lifestyle? If you are not very active the watch will run out of "juice" eventually.
