No rhyme or reason. Just links that stand out in your mind on the subject of fountain pens, trappings, ephemera, and paraphernalia. Share your favorite FP and accoutrements links. This is a lovely Penterest site with one of the better collections of inkwell photographs as well as FPs and other items. https://www.pinterest.com/mmepinky/f...-and-inkwells/

I found myself leafing through the remaining Omas catalog lately as my collection keeps expanding. SBRE brown on YouTube has been a source of mine as well but mostly for Visconti's. A little Omas action there too. I also enjoy many of Brian Goulet's blog posts as well. Honestly I haven't run into a blog/YouTube channel about pens I have not found interesting in some form or another. Even pen economics have been worth reading.

I don't know if I have understood the request properly, but in terms of "accoutrements" generally, I must include my most cherished possessions, hobby, tools, wildlife and lifelong companions, motivation to attend shows, interest, the dearly held work of a most dear old friend:

Sorry. I should have explained better.
Accoutrements are things related to pens and writing. Like FPs of course, inkwells, ephemera (papers, journals, letters, and such), and other things. But of course. I have used a sharp knife dipped in ink to write a letter when nothing else was available. I also used a toothpick once, so if you have any favorite toothpick sites those would work also! ![]() ![]()

I should add I have a couple Visconti crystal inkwells that I thought I would use more often than actually do.

So there is Washington's penknife reproduction. I know I have Lincoln's penknife repro but can't find it.
Also, I had an aunt who passed years ago at the ripe age of 102. She was sent to school at Bruges, Belgium, when she was a young girl. She returned having mastered several languages, the most beautiful calligraphy, and she could sing sweet French songs like an angel. One of the items she brought back from school in Belgium was the pen holder that appears below. The pen is a contemporary something or another. This is one of my dear possessions and I'm thankful to Richard for making me remember I have this beautiful pen holder from my dearest aunt. |

I would love to have some of my dad's old FPs. I know he had several of them, but none survive.

Any hope of sourcing the same pens from people in the pen world? Even though not the originals, still a nice addition to your collection.

I have several family pens, Parkers that belonged to Dad and Mom and Sheaffer's that were my Grandfathers as well as some Conway Stewarts that were my Grandmother or Great Aunt's pens. They were never quite in agreement about who particular items belonged to.

![]() Hey Jim, What's the origin of that cup? I have a set that I picked up from a trip we went to Austria, but I like the design on yours. Thanks!

I used to put on wine tastings too when I lived on Hilton Head. The different resorts would hire me to do a wine tasting for the wives when the husbands were out playing golf but soon the husbands were staying for the wine and skipping the golf and so I was surplussed. |

That's what I've done. Sheaffer pens my dad used, Parker 61 my mom had, etc. Not the ones that belonged to them but the same type of pen to keep the memory fresh.
