Does your Noodler's smell funny??
No joke! I picked up a Noodler's Ahab in Lapis Inferno a while ago to practice calligraphy. The finish seems a little duller than I expected and it has a perpetual funny smell. Not really a smell I'm used to either. I've been meaning to hit it with a polisher and brighten it up and hopefully seal the resin. Has anyone else had this experience?? Is it some sort of rubber or something??

Yes, the Noodler's pens will smell funny, kinda like old rubber tires or sulfur. It is the uncured ebonite smell and after a few decades will go away.

I see. That makes sense now. I like the pen but it sure does smell funny.
