3135 confusion

I have a Yachtmaster and having looked at the movement I noticed that the 3135 movement only has ROLEX marked on it instead of MONTRES ROLEX SA.

Are there two versions of the 3135 with different markings?

I can't say I've heard of it before, but I work almost exclusively on the 15XX series these days. Post a few pictures if you can and I'm sure someone can give you some more info.

Nearly every photo I find on the web shows the bridge marked "MONTRES ROLEX SA"

However, looking on the Rolex website they show the new 3135 movements with just the word "ROLEX"

Top image is the typical 3135. Bottom image is a "new" 3135 with ROLEX only. Does anyone know when this changed?

Here is a clip from the Rolex website. Notice looking through the slots in the rotor that only the word ROLEX is present.

Here's one I serviced a while ago, look closely and you see that it only has Rolex written on it.

From what I can tell it seems this "ROLEX only version" was a newer iteration of the 3135. Do you recall what year that watch was?

It was a 16610 Submariner, can't tell you how old it was exactly.
