OP 39mm bracelet
Hi all, can someone with an OP 39mm confirm how many links it should come with? Mines a bit tight, 5 on one side, 7 on the other.
Whilst I'm asking, why 5 on one side and 7 on the other? The clasp isn't middle of my wrist at the moment, surely 6 and 6 would mean it was more centred?! Thanks |

Everyone is different but typically most people have more links on the 12 o'clock side. For my Sub I have 6 links on the 12 o'clock side and 4 links on the 6 o'clock side. For my Datejust II I believe it was the same as your OP with 7 on the 12 o'clock side and 5 on the 6 o'clock side. Can you take a picture of the clasp on your wrist? |

To get better balance on the wrist (most wrists, at least), it's quite common for more links to be on the 12 o'clock side than the 6 o'clock side. Having it this way prevents the head of the watch from slipping "away" from you as you turn your wrist to look at the time. Besides, most people don't have a perfectly round/oval wrist.
For almost all of my watches with bracelets, I set it so that 6 o'clock side has fewer links. Whether or not the clasp is perfectly balanced is not an issue to me. For my OP 39, the clasp is indeed slightly off centre, but you have to realize that the under side of the clasp actually extends longer than the outer clasp that you see when it's on your wrist. |

It's pretty obvious from the construction of the bracelet and clasp that there have to be more links on the 12 o'clock side in order for the clasp to be centred.

Sounds like the number of links is right...I believe that's how it comes from the factory.
You can always try swapping a link from one side to the other to see if that helps. |

OP 39mm bracelet
I've got 5 on the 6 side and 6 on the 12 side. Seems fairly centered on my 7" wrist
I think it came with another link too
