Rolex GMT Master 1675 Bezel Information
Hi!
I am new to vintage watches and I have taken interest in GMT Master 1675. I have managed to identify dial, movement, bracelet, crown, etc. However, I am having difficulty identifying if the bezel of a watch matches the year of the watch. I am only interested in Pepsi Bezel. I know there are thin fonts and thick fonts, also there are some bezel inserts from 67-68 that turned into fuchsia. My problem is I cannot tell the year range of thin/thick fonts. Is there a specific timeline? (E.G. fat font until 1975) I've also heard that the blue/red separation at the 18 and 6 are a good way to tell, how so? Is there an archive? Any tips on how to identify whether the bezel insert matches the year? or if the bezel insert has been replaced? Thanks for your help! |
