A couple weeks ago I visited an AD on the Caribbean island of Aruba. While I was trying on both the LN and the LV, a male employee said "Dare to be different; go green! I've had one five years and haven't tired of it." I wasn't convinced. The green is more noticeable if that's what you want but the black does a better job of fitting every situation. My local northern California AD often has a LV on display but he says they don't sell quickly.

If you go for the LV you can add the no date later down the road. Out of all the subs Rolex makes they only make the non date version in black. It looks amazing with the symmetrical clean dial. I would be between the LV and the non date version aka the "submariner"

I was torn between the two as well. I choose the LV because it was different, so if you like being "different" then you know what the obvious pick will be.
