Question about a vintage Rolex Chronograph 3335
Here is the Rolex I have my interests on. Searching around the net for more infos, I have now some doubts about the hour and minute hands: they look too modern for other examples of ref. 3335 (the last picture in the end of this post). Also, the dial looks too pristine for a 194x watch (the seller claims it is original).
I found out @ Christies' site, that there are some pictures of ref. 3330 and 3335 at a book. For other examples of the references 3330 and 3335 see II Cronografi Rolex-La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editor, pp. 114 - 127. Unfortunately I don't have the book, so I cannot check for other examples of ref. 3335. I really need your help, what are your opinions? Some example of 3335 found over the net. |

If you really like the watch buy it !
And than start your hunt for the correct hands. This way you will learn some more abut the watch itself. Good luck ! |

I would like to learn some more about the watch BEFORE buying it :)... if the dial is redone, then it is non-acceptable for me.

Refinished dial and incorrect (to the watch) hands will decrease the price by tens of thousands with this type of watch.
If the dial is original... , snatch it If the price is OK and dial refinished , snatch it Be aware there are a lot of bunch together watches I see you are from Eastern Europe , a lot of these watches are made in Ukraine Original hands and dial are as scarce as chicken teeth. Jack

For a dial that perfect the watch must have been locked away for its entire life, and if that is true, why are the correct hands not there?
