I also agree that not every year releases can be as exciting for everyone. In fact, I don't even think that Rolex should release new models every year.

Yeah, maybe "hate" is too harsh. Just seems like there's an inordinate flurry of Basel backlash, like another thread declaring the death of Rolex.

Maybe disdain is an apt reaction - it usually quickly follows disappointments or mild depression over a Basel Hobson's Choice.

For example, many are still awaiting 116500 fulfillment - but now see an Oysterflex on a WG 116519. How many would like to modify their waitlisted 116500 order to choose the Oysterflex for it? But noooo....not available. That is what I mean by a Hobson's Choice...
