Wow what an awesome forum. I always knew Rolex aficionados were passionate, but i really had no idea it was "this" passionate.
At the present time i am an owner of just one Rolex. I purchased the Submariner 116610 model and have a few other nice watches in my collection. Like many of the members here, i'm anxiously awaiting my name to be called on the Daytona waiting list at my local AD. That being the case, but is my memory off or did the watch previously retail for $13,400 USD? I was on the site this week and i noticed the watch now has a MSRP of $12,400. Anywho....glad to be a member of this site and look forward to learning more about Rolex watches from those of you who are much more knowledgeable than i am. |

Welcome. The ceramic Daytona retails for $12,400. The previous version with SS bezel retails for $12,000. That watch is pretty unique in that it is very difficult to get in certain parts of the world. I'm not referring to the new one. It's hard to get everywhere. Here in the States, it wasn't too difficult for the SS bezel. My AD brought the black and white version in for me to look at when I turned 40. I ended up getting the white, but there was no problem getting either. Good luck. The Daytona is a great watch.
