Panerai Series

What does each series mean? for example, does G series cost more than the K series?

i presume it us the year in which they were produced, just like rolex ( recently)- all serials begin with a letter that changes every year.

Yes, it is year
Before 1998, there were no letters.
A = 1998
B = 1999
C = 2000
....
K = 2008

I think prices of most Panerai watches vary from serie to serie due to the Model (Pam0xx) and Year (A through K) and how many particular models for that particular year were produced.
If G is limited to 400 a year and K is limited to 600,
I would guess that G is more expensive than K.

I don't know if this makes much sense it's still early here

The only G besides limited edition that I can think of that may cost more would be 183G due to the black seal and panerai being switched.
