Help Identifying this Rolex
Hi
I am a new member to this forum, I am currently trying to help identify a number of watches including four Rolex and a Tudor. This appears to be the oldest one. Based on my research I think its some sort of bubbeback? The caseback is marked 6015, the movement has the number N40663 - not sure if this is the serial number? Apologies for the noob questions but I am currently quite inexperienced when it comes to vintage rolex and hope somebody can help educate me! Thanks in advance. |

Its a model 6015 bubbleback, probably from the early 1950s based on the style of the hands and dial.

nice dial - I would like to see better pictures of it, but looks original. Is the case gold or plated? I honestly don't remember if 6015 came in solid gold. What are the numbers between the lugs (should be the model number and a serial number).

I'm affraid I don't know if it is solid gold, however most of the other watches in the collection this came from are. I will try and take a better photo next time, in the mean time this photo might be a bit better. |
