At least this joke was more creative.

True. Two ADs have said this in two different parts of the country. So Rolex must be telling them this. Yes, there is a good chance it isn't true. But when someone lies to me I tend never to listen to them. I guess we shouldn't believe anything that they have said?

By and large...any claims to inside knowledge - especially manufacturing processes not documented by Rolex themselves...is very, very suspect.

ADs - much like Apple Store sales folks - get told little to nothing about proprietary process or unannounced new product intros.

Now if your AD was encouraging you to buy now to avoid an upcoming price increase...well, I'm sure that is true and they are NOT simply trying to get you to buy a watch while you are in the store.

Ceramic bezel inserts are not unique to Rolex. For example, you can buy a Steinhart dive watch with a coloured ceramic insert for ~$500

Does anyone else do a two color ceramic bezel?? I am not sure of that.

I hope Rolex has a huge disability and key person life insurance on this person.

Omega makes two tone ceramics.

Anyway, anything you hear about rolex in an AD isn't reliable. It takes a year to make a rolex, they're discontinuing xxx model, blah blah. Rolex is one of the most secretive complained in the world. Even those guys who got a "tour " of the factories a few years ago seem to have been supplied with stock photos for their articles. It read like a rolex press release. They control all knowledge
