Impossible to say. It is polished so it could be whatever. Most likely okay but you need to show pics of serial and ref numbers for us to be able to judge.

Case appears to be original/genuine. Should have a MK1 dial.

Can we see better photos of the dial and "faded" insert?
It always surprises me when a seller asks for top dollar/pound for a vintage Rolex and doesn't provide better photos. It's so easy nowadays to take decent high-quality and detailed photos. |

Please note I'm not an expert, however from your pics it appears original to me and a very nice looking example based on the patina of the markers and hands. I also like the bezel fade. Additionally, the serial number is appropriate for a meters first dial. The only thing I have some concern with is the crown guards, they appear a bit over-polished. Other examples are more "beefy". Hard for me to judge the thickness of the lugs. Lastly, it appears Meters First Red Subs are showing strong appreciation of late.
