I called Hawaii yesterday. Cross that off your list.

Found one

I'm sure you're looking for ceramic though. Black or white or whatever you find first? SS Daytonas are alluring and chase inspiring

Good luck

Rolex website has a list of all authorized dealers if I'm not mistaken. Happy Hunting!

I'm sure people have them--not sure if they are willing to share since that's a lot of work

That will be a thankless task. All ADs are getting phone calls and from what I hear they're getting tired of the phone calls from non locals on Daytona.

I'd be absolutely staggered if you get anywhere with the phone calls.

However you're determined, so good luck. Are you expecting one to answer and say
"Yes, I've got one and you can have it?" If so it won't happen. Sorry to be blunt but hopefully it's cruel to be kind.

Ps, go on the rolex website and every AD in the UK is listed on the map, click the location and the phone number and AD name is there.

Wow really? Have you calculated the exchange rate and adding of VAT when re entering the UK (assuming you find one) plus flight and travel costs.

By my calculations, say you find one in Europe. With exchange rate you're just under £11,000. Add UK VAT plus your travel costs and you're not saving much vs grey dealer UK prices.

Why would you add the VAT? if your coming back in the UK - This is a gift. so take that 20% off - I've already calculated this - and worked out i can get one max just over 10.5k figure inc flights - its a present for my bros bday - got until july to find it.

Watchfinder are offering 14k for them so its still a win win situation but its not to sell.

up to Austria now lol - 40 stores done

Well I hope your hard work pays off.
Just think how amazing it will feel if you score one.

What's the general attitude been on ringing around?

Gift or not you still have to pay import duty and VAT. If you try to sneak it in then you chance a heafty fine on top of the charges and possibly loosing the watch.
