If you go to AD the difference is $350
If you go trusted seller, DavidSW, he has both brand new and the difference is $2900. You can check his website right now

Uh I guess you guys don't realize that the 4K remark was made 8months ago. This thread is done.

Yeah, that was brought up a few posts back. Information is still information. I don't know how accurate the 4K remark was circa 2015 (8 months ago), but it's still relatively close (these days, also 2015) with pricing upwards of $13k on the D-blue and $9-10k on the regular (secondary market).

The explanation of supply and demand still plays, and is valuable information to many. Search results will bring this thread alive and information will be passed along. We can't go on complaining that people don't use the search tool, and also complain that old threads are resurrected.

Plus, 8 months ain't sh**, it's not like the remark was made in 1985.

Plus, there was that bit about the dog licking his balls back on page 1 which was hilarious.

My AD says he has a 4 year waiting list...he was exaggerating of course but basically said he gets 1 in every 4-5 months and there is a waiting list..

This is due to the 16610LV over exaggerated success...the 16610LV's are easy to get at a reasonable price pre-owned these days and only BNIB versions are commanding any big premium...this will be the case with the seattle sea hawk DSSD when its all said and done.

i prefer the regular DSSD as I'm not a seattle seahawk fan...now if they made a chicago bear dial..hmmmmmmm

I was at an AD today and they were very surprised that I was wearing one. They have not had one in over three months. When they do get it, it never even goes to the case; the phone call goes out to the person on the"list".

Umm it's only 400 bucks more? Wait list is only one or two people at my AD. And it's first person to pay in full once the watch arrives, unless you have full deposit. They get one every month or two so it's not that bad.

A dog licks his balls to clean them. The implication is that being a human being, we would also lick or balls if it were simply possible. But we can clean our balls by other more affective means, so the implication here is that if it were possible to lick our own balls, we would, but it would basically be for one purpose

So is the guy you worked for admitting he would blow himself if he could?

I mean the guy has 4 mansions, he sounds smart

It is an old expression, bud.

The way I heard it was:

Why does a dog lick his ass?

Bc it can

OR

Why does a dog lick his ass?

I don't know, but you may want to pet him first.

Same reason why some folks are paying premium for a simple Daytona C

As the others said this difference is for gray market watches, in AD it's about 250 Euro.
And it is because Rolex is manipulating the supply and ppl want what they cannot get... Just like the SS daytonas.
If the blue was as readily available as the black one there would be no price difference imho.
Btw., my AD says I can get the blue DS in the next 4-6 months at MSRP.
But I won't bc I like the black one better.

So, another state AD has let you purchase a Rolex over the phone and ship the watch to you without tax? That's very strange and not a Rolex practice. Am surprised he did that to a in-demand watch and not a slow mover!

Very Nice. Your Pic says it all.

OP call around. I literally wasn't even in the market per se for one and went into an AD. I asked them, they had one. I tried it on and fell in love. Bought it for less than MSRP and that was in SoCal.

To the other post, why the Deep Blue? Because it looks awesome, is different and fairly limited in respect to the plain black one. I would not have bought the regular DSSD, I would have moved on to something else as I certainly don't need this type of under water capability.

I noticed the regular DSD has more of a matte black face compared to a subs face. The blue to black has a nice look about it.

Just curious.

Which AD's?

I am in SoCal a lot.

Traditional Jewelers in Fashion Island gets two a year, maybe. Have never seen one there.

Been to Wynn in Vegas. None. Been to SLC. None. And these are the AD's that know me.

Boy I'm starting to feel like a VIP. Told my AD I wanted one, and two weeks later they called me and told me it was in.

Ps I'm by no means a big spender there...just lucky I suppose?
