Wow, padi. I have never seen one in a lucite case before. I had a genuine Mickey Mouse watch as a kid (wish I still had it), but I have never seen one like that! Very cool indeed!!!

When was that model produced, if you don't mind saying?

Picked it up at a boot sale sometime early last year, would guess from the 70s but not 100% sure.It has a one, or could be 7 jewel swiss movement. But have not seen a plastic one anywhere. But some steel case Bradley models now sell for over £500.

LOL - no, I didn't see the "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" on the dial!

Given Subby a bit of a well-earned rest. Got my YM on today and probably for the rest of the week too.

Hey JJ
Q. Is the YM range more money than the SUB or SD.

Is it worth it?

That guy Jocke is to blame for this (see his photo comparison)..... I am liking the YM now.

The hands and the dots on the YM dial seem larger than the SUB or SD. Does it have the same movement?

Steve

The YM, Sub-date, SD and DJ all have the SAME 3135 movement. Yes, the YM is a much costlier watch when compared with the Sub-date or SD. After all, you will be paying more for the Platinum dial and full Pt. bezel.

Unfortunately, the YM does NOT come in all SS so there's not a hope in hell of getting a cheaper YM. In the TT version which I have, you will naturally pay more for the gold content on the bezel and bracelet centre links.

As to whether it's worth it or not....hmmmm.....I guess it's all a matter of personal and individual taste. It would be very difficult to answer that question. You would have to try one out for yourself...but I can safely vouch for it as being an absolute beauty. And yes, the YM is fitted with the maxi dial...same as the green LV Sub.

However, for sheer ruggedness, toughness and the MACHO look, you just can't beat the smashing looks of a Sub or an SD.

Here you can compare both dials side-by-side!! Notice the larger markers and hands on the TT YM.

Ever since reading The DaVinci Code, I wanted a MM mouse like the one worn in the novel.

I settled for this.

I betcha Tom Hanks doesn't wear it in the upcoming movie!
