1968 Heuer Autavia 3646 Dual Register Tachymeter Dial

Up for grabs is a Heuer Autavia "straight lug case"

3646 reference

84,XXX serial number circa 1968 production

This is manual wind cal. 92 movement, dual register chronograph,

Excellent vintage condition case appears to be unpolished. The lugs are sharp and defined. There is no corrosion or pitting. As you can see in pictures, the winding crown is replaced, but I have a correct and signed Heuer crown which will be installed before shipping of the watch. Pushers are original. Serial number is very clearly intact between lugs.

Dial is original and rare "tachymeter" dial with a tachy scale printed directly onto the dial. Excellent and clean condition with very attractive patina on plots. The 5 o'clock plot's luminous is partially chipped off, otherwise there is no damage or tool marks on the dial. Subdials are very clean.

The hands are the original "short" hands which are specific to watches with tachy dial.

Bezel is original in good vintage condition.

Caseback is excellent. Looks unpolished. Very crisp engravings and no major tool marks or wear. Inside is signed as well.

The movement is in excellent physical condition. Chrono runs, stops, and resets back to zero.

No box or papers. No documented service history.
