Macan is strictly for the wife or girlfriend IMO. Cayenne is for the man. Just like the M3/4, for women only. M5 or m6 for the man.

My wife calls C63/Macan Turbo/M3/4 etc "cute cars". Nuff said lol

A I can say is sweet on the turbo 4 cylinder ! Is the S more power, yup. I really like the base model, they just handed me the keys and said you later. So I drive it around for 15-20 minutes. But have time cause of the recall, no sales for a couple weeks. Time to think now..

Nice You can build a really nice base with all the options you want for a decent price.

I had an appointment to drive a CPO Macan Turbo on Saturday but it was pouring down rain, so I cancelled. Traveling this week, so be a couple weeks before I get over to the city to drive it.

fyi... my brother's wife had a Toureg and traded it in for a base Macan. I think she really loves it.

My brother is a car guy and a former 911 owner. He says the base engine is not strong enough for the car. If he had to do it again he would get the S. Then again, his wife is not a car nut... and I think she is fine with the base model. YMMV. Good luck.

I'm not sure what that means but this thing really took off and handled well. So base has 250hp then S model is 340 then next GTS ? has 360

Have to say as The sweet spot would be S, I could go base model but I have to figure out the options and then configure them into price on base vs S I really like the drive today though

The Cayenne is really something too just beautiful I saw one at 110k but they go higher

I've seen more women driving a Cayenne. It has more room for kids, sports equipment, etc. Pretty typical car for an upper-middle class mom.

I saw a nice women driving one today, she pulled into Fresh Market on Federal Highway, similar and just as great quality as Whole Foods but I like it better. Smaller and everyone is really nice.

She had a white Cayeene GTS with red break calipers look very awesome, definitely a hot mom. Actually I've seen more female to male in Cayeene..

Ha! I think though its because he is often racing and has a very nice collection in his garages including a turbo S (those wheels ). He is a great guy best neighbor you could ask for

I am currently on my 3rd Cayenne as I have upgraded every 3 years (that's when the first very expensive inspection is due here in Japan so most people opt to trade up at that time). Current version is the S e-hybrid. The Porsche SUV is a great vehicle and I keep going back to it even though I look at everything else each time (Audi, BMW, Range Rover, Benz, Volvo, etc.). The interior is superb and drive and handling are second to none.

You do see a lot of women driving them but it is definitely NOT a soccer mom's car. It is definitely not a 911 but I think it is as close as you can get to a sports car in this size/weight of a vehicle.

I have driven the Macan a few times when I am at the dealer and I would definitely recommend the S if you can swing it. As others have said, be prepared to pay well above base price if you want any options (AC, seats, steering wheel, etc.).

Just buy it and enjoy, life is short!

I was just goofing off. I'm pretty sure I was pooping when I posted that. I see tonnes of women in Cayennes. The only people I know with Macans wanted the Cayenne, but didn't want to drop the coin for it. The redesign will look great if it follows the Macan's design.
