Vibration inside watch.
My ceramic sub purchased in 2014 for the last year has been making a vibration every time the rotar spins. It sounds like a ting/tick. This has been going on for over a year. The watch keeps perfect time and the reserve is good. Would Rolex warranty cover a new axle and any damage caused by the metal flaking and dust? If the rotor has been hitting any other metal movement part, would that metal part be replaced?

since you're in dallas, a trip to the RSC might be a good idea?

I had this on my 2012 Sub and sent in and was fixed immediately. The 'ping' usually happened after a slight sudden movement, such as being too enthusiastic on the bottom step of stairs for example.

I have repaired several automatic systems for watches that were fairly new. All under warranty.
It could definitely be a worn rotor axle in your watch, if your watch is still under warranty this should not cost you anything. |
