Anybody use monograde oil anymore
I was at friends house who has a killer 72 boss Mustang with 351....He was changing the oil and was using 30w Kendall oil....I told him use that in lawn mower 40 years ago. He claims the 30w dinolube runs best in old engines ...which maybe true.

I still use it in my lawnmower. Haven't seen it in a vehicle in 35 years.

When I had my 69 HD Sportster I ran 60W in it all summer. Sold it in 2000.

I understand he is right, for older engines it is better. If i am not mistaken, that's a 351 Cleveland in that Stang.

It depends on the climate that the engine is used in. Multigrade oils are designed to use in both very cold and hot climates. The 30w would be good if only using the car in summer .

Your friend is 100% right. My grandfather used it on his Mach1 and it ran beautifully.

With the amount of riding I do now I'm lucky to put 1000 miles on in 10 Years. I had to force myself to go with my hot rod. Hopefully that'll change this year now I have bags, a tour pack so I have a place to put stuff.
