Very important, another TRF'er who shys away from the Daytona for that reason... And roman numerals...

I like Black or Blue dials for legibility...

Legibility is important to me. I sold a JLC MUT Moon, a very attractive watch, because it was difficult to read the silver hands on the white face. The gold versions of that watch are more readable, albeit more expensive.

For me it is very important as well! I have been captivated by many watches.... but in my rational head, if it is hard to tell time in most scenarios, then no matter how beautiful it looks... I just can't but them.

Btw, I passed on buying a Rolex OP 39mm for this very reason! Beautiful blue or rhodium dials!!!! But I just find that it would be difficult to read the time in low light situations. This is my opinion.... anyone else feel the same about the OP 39mm????

Legibility is important, but there are some extremely legible watches which have traded away the beauty for legibility.

I have a 1603 DateJust that I cannot stand wearing because I literally cannot read the time even after staring at it for 15 seconds. On the opposite end, Damasko watches to me - you can read he time from across the room, but the dial has no soul.
