1991 Two-tone Zenith Daytona: SEL?
Dear all,
I am thinking about buying a N serial two-tone Zenith Daytona (circa 1991). My question is, when did Rolex start using solid end links for the Daytona? If it was after 1991, does this mean that both the steel part of the links and the gold center are hollow or just the gold center? Thanks for your help with this! |

End links just connect to the watch head. I think you are asking about solid bracelets and I believe those would come later than 1991 but I am not sure for daytona.

Initially 16523 came with 78363, without SEL and with hollow links. Replaced by 78393, without SEL and with hollow links . Starting 92 or 93. Replaced by 78393A, with SEL and hollow links . Starting 98 or 99. |

Exactly. a N-serial 16523 (1991 to first half of 1992) was born with a 78363 non-SEL . I know it for sure because I own one (an all-original 11/1991 N-serial 16523).
