16710 Inserts
Hello RLForums members,
I need some help on these inserts. I was told that the faded pepsi (with serif) is the original insert of this 16710. While the other three inserts here (pepsi, coke, black) are rolex genuine inserts. But they could be service insert of rolex. Can anyone confirm on this? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is from coke insert. ![]() Thank you ![]() |

Yes, I believe you're correct. The insert with the fatter/serif numbers is earlier, presumably original. The thinner font is on later service inserts. Here's my GMT 16700 (W-serial) for comparison, with its original (I believe) insert and a period-correct black insert with the same fat-font serif numbers.
