Screwdriver good enough for Rolex links ?
Hi guys
I have been looking for a nice screwdriver for a few days. Ended on this Panerai PAV00524. Looks ok to me as it is 1.6mm and hollow ground. What are your thoughts ? If you know any others cheaper, let me know :) thx :) ![]() ![]() ![]() Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk

Works great. I alway recomend new users to apply blue painters tape around the screw you are working on to protect your link from damage.

I use a screwdriver I got from Everest straps and it seems to work fairly well.

Isn't rolex 1.4 vs panerai 1.6?

Rolex is 1.6 as are most of my watches from divers to fliegers. A 1.5 will do in a pinch, but if it's able to slide side to side in the slot, there is quite an increase in risk of damage, especially with chisel-ground screwdriver tips which may cam-out on a stubborn screw.

I use my Panerai screw driver on my latest DJII and it is a perfect fit. It simplifies my life sticking with one screwdriver and keeping my jewlers set away for more complicated tasks.

Rolex is actually 1.7mm for oyster bracelets, but it's hard to find that size so 1.6mm is the closest commercially available size that will work. Even with the commonly recommended 1.6mm hollow ground versions like the Bergeron and the Horotec, I have found that, while they will work, they still don't offer a tight fit. There still ends up being a modest amount of play between the blade and inside of the screw slot, both lengthwise and widthwise. The 2100 really is the best option.

Where is the best source for a Panerai screwdriver? I see many cheap copies for sale. Cheap junk.
