Audemars Piquet ?
Hi Everyone
I have an amazing VERY thin Audemars Piguet Mechanical Skeleton. I even have the original box it came it. I wear it a couple times a year and its just a beautiful watch. I know NOTHING about this watch other than my father remembers buying it in Paris in the late 50's or perhaps early 60's (yes he knows its real haha) he just isn't a watch guy. Anyway, he gave it to me a few years ago and I really like it. I do not want to sell it or anything but I just want to know if anyone have any info on it or knows where I can find some info. The main # I can find is on the back bottom of the case and it is 36204 The Watch is a white metal, knowing my father Id assume its SS BUT I do not really think they would make a watch like this in SS. Every Jeweler whose seen it just says WOW but doesn't really know anything.... Sorry, no pics but I will post some when I am able.

Jeremy,
You have in your possession a fantastic heirloom with a great heritage. Audemars Piguet is one of the houses of high horology and haute de gamme watchmaking. A thin skeletonized wrist watch from that era is potentially highly sought after in the collector's market. As mentioned earlier, I'd try posting some pics on the Timezone AP forum as well as the Horomundi AP forum, and the PuristsPro AP forum. Good luck and please post pics here too!! |
