Possible Trade for BLNR

AD has offered to trade my DJII Fluted w/white dial for BLNR for about $2300. I could keep the DJII and add a Tudor Pelagos or Omega Seamaster for about $3500. Thoughts??

Is the BLNR new in box? if so thats a decent deal, I paid $6k for my DJII and I'd pony another $2300 for a NIB BLNR - the other two you can buy outright in mint condition for around $3k each if you look a little.

The OP has a 18k Fluted bezel so he was above $7K for his new.

OP: I would pass on that deal. You can find a BLNR with the stickers still on it for around $8300.

Check this new BLNR for sale....

The BLNR is still in the packaging from Rolex.

That's odd, the AD can do that? I don't know if it's even legal for a Rolex AD to make such a deal. Anyways, I'd say it's a good deal if it's a brand new BLNR from the AD. The GMT is one of the best Rolexes out there. I even prefer it over the Sub.

Yep - used DJII fluted $6K, damned nice watch too. To be fair I bot it from a Jeweler that my sister works with and he just wanted to flip it for a quick $500

For a NIB BLNR I'd do it - but only at the price point I am into the DJII if you are buried in your DJ then I'd probably skip it.

ADs can take pretty much any form of payment they want, including watches. My AD partners with a watch broker who will by the watch in store and give the proceeds to the AD towards payment for the new watch.

Yea, I figured there was a back story cause a good price from our trusted sellers is $7k-ish for a DJII fluted bezel.

The OP might be able to trade his DJII for the BLNR I posted above for $2k.....? Condition of his DJII has alot to do with it but its worth a phone call.

This BLNR still has the stickers on it

No one is going to buy his dj 2 white flutted for 7k when trusted sellers have it for 6250. I think it's a reasonable offer from the ad. At 2k I would say do it.

Possible Trade for BLNR

Do it great deal

Before I knew of trusted sellers I bought my first Rolex at an AD for full price. It was a DJ II. I really liked the BLNR and 2 years ago I made a deal with DavidSw to trade the DJ II and $2000 for a 3 month old BLNR in mint condition.

Used DJ II's were going for about 6500 so I thought the deal was fair.

Lesson learned don't buy from an AD unless I had a deal like you.

Didn't see the Omega option. Get the SMP300 and you have everything covered!

No we were discussing what the op might have paid for his DJII when new to get a trade idea. $2k to trade would be a great deal and probably could be done in the right situation as the link I supplied might get him there at that BLNR price. The DJII with w18K bezel is a nice watch and so is a BLNR so it might be a trade side ways if he is after a GMT. Both have PCL and easy link clasp.

He could even get a nice classic Planet Ocean and keep his DJII for $2500.00.

You're trading a DJII Fluted and $2300 CASH for BLNR?

If SO....Green Light. Do the deal.

I don't understand the Pelagos or Omega Option.

You could trade a Seamaster and $3500 for a BLNR???

If so...do that immediately...

I'd keep the DJII and add the Omega Seamaster or Tudor Pelagos.
