In the locker room have seen gold & 2 metal Subs, but only in the locker room. How guys can leave their watches in their lockers whilst in the gym baffles me! I just would not dare! |

That I normally do; I can't think of a thing. I can think of reasons for things that I don't do but that's speculatory.

You mean people actually wear their Rolexes?

I will wear my DJ on any occasion except for physical work, hammering, painting etc, where it might be damaged but that is the case with any watch. No one notices when I wear it but I know it's there and that's the intangible reason for having a Rolex rather than a cheapie anyway.

I'd take my watch off for a swimming, painting the house or doing home repairs. No other events come to mind where wearing a nice sturdy watch would not be okay.

I wore my GMT2 Pepsi to an Omega Boutique when I picked up my Speedmaster after repairs. The Omega guys were actually very complimentary and several of them tried it on. They were enthusiastic collectors, and while they favored Omegas they still appreciated the Pepsi's beauty. I hadn't given it a thought until I walked through the door to the Boutique.

I don't wear mine when we are branding and/or castrating our calves; would hate to hit it with the branding iron or get any residual tissue stuck in the bracelet or bezel. Otherwise, I pretty much wear it 24/7.

I won't wear a watch if there's a high probability of it incurring damage, like if I'm doing some sort of physical labor. I wear a GPS watch and fitness tracker when I'm running. Otherwise, I wear a watch pretty much any time.

I won't wear my Sub to work - I have a Tag Heuer Carrera Drive Timer for work duties.
For a couple of reasons, one being I'm in engineering so I'd get sick of taking it off all the time when my hands have to get dirty. Second reason being, it's only a small firm, at which I'm a manager. A lot of my staff are generally likely to get the wrong idea and potentially cause hassle. I know, not the way I'd like it to be but nevermind. They got a little funny recently when I turned up to work in a new car I've recently purchased. If I wore my sub - and I know someone would notice, I'm pretty sure the same would happen again. It's a shame it has to be that way, because I like to see people doing well for themselves, I think some people just don't. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
