Great news! But 18 months doesn't seem like much. He's evidently the go-to guy to offload robbery watches to and will probably be back at it again with his expertise in horology and gang links.

A whole 18 months. So he will be out on license in 9 months.
That will teach him. All that good work and justice system lets us all down again because they can't afford to keep him in prison.

18 months is a ridiculous sentence... But, at least he's banged up. Gives me hope on mine turning up somewhere one day.

Dumb A$$! Enjoy your Jail Time!

NOTE: Always have your serial numbers and report your watch if it is stolen.

18 months - sounds like the UK criminal justice system isn't much different than the USA.

I thought in the USA criminals are sentenced for every crime added up (hence serial killers and the like doing 1000+ years)? Here you only serve whatever the worst crime would get you

Interesting article.....but it sounds like the true robbers got away and they just caught perhaps one of the fence guys. Sounds like 18 months is all they could get him for since he's obviously playing the plea of ignorance card.

Makes me want to meet him in 18 months and kick him directly in the klackers.
