Brushed gold appears more bronze in nature. Just wish on this one they did the tang in brushed gold and put the price up a few hundred.

I'm not seeing a brushed texture to the gold capping looking closely (probably hard to see in the pic, I'm not good at taking pics) but yeah, looks bronze-y, you are right.

I personally like the downplay of the gold/bronze tone, I wouldn't add it to the deployment clasp. I see what you mean, though, would be a great look for folks more into showing the TT elements.

I hope the tweezers I ordered show up in the mail soon, will be fun to swap to the NATO it came with and check that look out.

The great thing about the TBBs is the included fabric cloth which does two things 1) allows the leather banded watches to be used in the water (even though Tudor says the cloth strap isn't supposed to go in the water; I've used mine in the water without any obvious affect), 2) the BBs on the cloth strap are the most comfortable watches I've worn (the silk in the strap just makes the feel incredible).

BTW, don't use the tweezer to remove the leather strap as the tips will likely break (found out the hard way of course). Use the straight Bergeon spring bar tool to remove the strap.

Thanks for the tip on using the straight spring bar tool, I'll check it out (the tweezers were recommended for changing bracelet on my 116710ln, dumbly assumed they'd be good for this, too.)

Thanks, to both of you! That's great you both have no-date subs, they look so nice. This Tudor has a date window, but it's implemented well enough (and no Rolex cyclops, of course) where I might actually prefer it here (I do like having the date on my wrist in general, if the look of the watch doesn't suffer for it.)

I've got the NATO strap on there, gives it another look. Comfy strap for sure (so was the leather, though this is softer and lighter.) Of course sits a tad higher with the fabric sitting between the wrist and the case. Worth mentioning it came with its own springbars (thinner ones in the NATO than in the leather.)

Took ~5 minutes to tape off the lugs and swap it, just used a fine flathead screw driver. No damage at all, no bars shooting across the room,

I took some quick pics in case anyone wants to see on the NATO strap:

Looks great on the cloth strap; I like it a lot.

Thanks! Hope I can keep it that way, I'm not very careful though, it's probably going to get a 'beauty Mark's or two soon...

Thanks! It's neat how Tudor is into that type of flexibility, including a bonus NATO strap in the box. A bit different than how Rolex tends to operate.

I think the strap brings out a brown shade from the dial that gives it a warm look with the gold that I like.

How do you feel about the thickness at 15 mm?

It does sit tall, I'm probably more likely to bang it on things (haven't yet, knock on wood.) I just checked it clears my shirt cuffs without hassle, though not a watch I intend to wear with dress shirts anyways, I got it more as a casual weekend option.

It feels light on the wrist (especially on the NATO), and comfortable with both straps, so I don't notice it's there -- so I'm happy. A bigger concern for me would be heavy watches, the weight can distract me when just moving around living life (and heavy weight could do more damage to things if/when bang into something.)

So, long story short (too late!), I feel good about the thickness. Has a cool look when I catch myself in the mirror as well, adds to the vintage vibe and helps the presence.

Try one on in person next time at a Tudor dealer, they feel light and comfortable. No awkward top-heavy feel or the like (which is good, watches that give me that feeling I pass on nowadays.)

Thanks! I'm going to be wearing this week a bunch, no opportunity soon I think to put the 70 hour reserve to the test.
