Has anyone tried on a VR headset?
Oculus is pricing in at $399 for a bundle and there are comments that the HTC Vive is a better experience. From its gaming applications to usefulness in the classroom and professional settings, I think this is the next big thing. For those who tried it, what are your thoughts? |

I went to a "VR cafe" in Seoul and tried both the Oculus and HTC headsets. Didn't consider buying because I'm not much of a gamer, but I enjoyed both.
Between the two, I'd base the decision on availability of games/software. |

I've used both but would favor Oculus as the better system, especially if you're planning on using the Touch controllers. Very user friendly and intuitive, with good selection of applications. Oculus is like the Apple of VR, for better or worse. I say better.
Edit: also many games are only available on the Oculus platform, whereas the Vive games can be played on either. |

I have an Oculus DK2. It's not good enough yet to make any waves in the market.

I got a free headset when I bought my GS8+, but I haven't yet set it up.
