By the way, the fact that she had no issue with me buying another watch meant that my feelings of trepidation were clearly all in my head and unwarranted, and honesty ended up being the best policy. That was the point of the thread, sprinkled with a bit of humour, not my wife being an evil grotbag (although she can have her moments).

I have a feeling she won't be so accommodating the day I turn up with a YG DD, BLRO or 2017 anniversary PP Aquanaut. Then the marbles will definitely get chopped off and fed to the neighbour's cat.

I wonder how I am going to react when she comes home with a Hermes Birkin bag in the near future.
