Be aware of your self and never over drink and always have a non drinker in your group. There are stories in this town that are just as bad, more like people dropping drugs in the drinks. These were adult age and not blaming anyone here but you have to careful in cities that caters to tourists, bad people are every where.

And yes, I've seen alcohol bottles refilled with cheaper quality liquid ( in another city ) and there is almost a 100% chance that it won't happen here ( Las Vegas ) because your gaming license is on the on the line. They don't do all inclusive here so no reason to cheap out in Liquor.

RIP to the young lady and best wishes for the family

They may not refill alcohol bottles but It's been said that Las Vegas restaurants serve more 1982 Chateau Petrus than the estate ever made.

I can see where margins at all inclusive resorts can put pressure on owners and employees to do some unethical things, especially in places where regulations are relaxed

People say and write things all the time. Resturant business is very competitive here and in such a small area and the select few peoples that order high end Wine are hotels vying for this select person who are comped so maybe some rumors are started. As with anything valuable buy the seller and accordingly make sure provenance is solid as possible.

Although again mistakes are made but we have some really good master sommeliers here probably top 5 city in the world. And at one time out of a dozen master sommelier in the world we had 5 back in 1990's and was lucky to study a short while under Barry Larvin now in The Court of Master Sommeliers and retired now.

Buy the seller

Not doubting the quality of restaurants or sommeliers in Vegas at all.

I was paraphrasing from a piece about an infamous night at a Michael Mina restaurant several years ago where a customer ordered 3 bottle of 1982 Petrus. He drank the first bottle, returned the second because it was "off", and then drank the third. When Rajat Parr, the wine director for Michael Mina, inspected the bottles and corks the next morning, he realized that only the 2nd bottle (the returned bottle) was real and the two this customer drank were counterfeits.
