Bracelet and SEL reference numbers

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at a Y series DJ that I am interested in purchasing. The one thing that erks me is that the bracelet does not seem to match the watchhead eventhough the bracelet looks great with the watchhead.

It is an oyster bracelet but the reference number on it, I believe, is 78360 and the SEL is 550B. I thought those reference numbers are for the sport line models like the Explorer or GMT.

So are these the proper numbers for a DJ or is this a frankenbracelet?
Is there a website that has reference numbers for Rolex bracelets and SELs?
Would you buy something like this or pass?

The reason I like this particular DJ is for the unique dial color. So, if this is a frankenbracelet, that would make me question the dial. I know there are many, many variations in DJ dials available. But, if one this is in question, maybe I should question the rest of the timepiece.

I would appreciate any opinions and help with this.

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum..

I'm not a DJ expert..but....

The brushed Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock clasp is the 78360 and is used on a lot of different models.

The sport models used a 501 endpiece for the GMT and EXP II on that bracelet, while the Sub used 580's and the 501's on a 93150 bracelet. The Daytona used 503 ends..

I would say that the 550B is proper for a DJ.

picture please?
SEL should fit beautifully for all watches.
Personally I don't like the older end links made of stamped metal sheets.

Thanks Tools for your input!

@ z-sub. No pics. I saw it at a dealer and I wanted to get some opinions before purchasing it. The SEL's fit perfectly.
I was curious about the bracelet because it was an oyster with a fluted bezel. I've only seen an oyster bracelet with
a fluted bezel when it was an aftermarket original, not stock.
