Steel Daytona C hands metal ?

What metal is used for the hands and the markers of SS Daytona C ?
As per the Rolex website white gold is used for the SS Sub hands and markers but is this the same for SS Daytona. I see no mention of that for SS Daytona.

AD told me once the long second hand is from steel because the pressure of resetting the chronometer is too much for 18ct gold

I've heard or read this a few times, too, though an alloy of some kind was mentioned, not steel. It was said that constant or frequent resetting could eventually cause the long seconds hand to bend if it was gold.

Edit: here's another thread on the daytona hand. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=400467 See post #9 onwards.
