Omega Group Thread
Ok, whilst trying to do this shot i have realised a number of things, firstly group shots are nightmares to do and wont be doing one of these in a hurry again and secondly i have too many black straps
There are some on this forum with larger collections, and some whose single piece is worth probably more than my whole vintage collection, but i love these vintage omegas for a number of reasons. Anyone can go and buy a BNIB modern watch from any AD but collecting vintages is a lot harder as you often wait for months of daily searching until the right one comes along. Also these watches are from a time when omega made amongst the best movements in production in house rather than using ETA. Thirdly, you can pick up most of these vintages for less than $1000.. manyfor less than $500. anyway enough talking.. here is the state of my collection: From top left row: early 1960's 561 calibre pie pan connie, 2005 aqua terra, late 1970's seamaster day date, 1945 30t2 suveran, early 1960's 562 calibre pie pan connie. From bottom left:353 calibre seamaster date from mid 1950's, early 1953 calibre 267, mid 1960's seamaster 300, late 1950's calibre 501 seamaster, late 1950's calibre 505 pie pan connie Last edited by mamas; 14 May 2006 at 09:09 AM.. |
