Explorer 1 Bracelet on Daytona - Pic

Hi

I find the gold PCL bracelet a bit too sparkly. Trying the SEL bracelet from an Explorer 1 (114270) on my tt Daytona (16523)

Fits securely with zero play, spring bars seat properly.

What do you think? Looks bloody awful? Looks good? I think it looks cool one minute and then rubbish the next..

Its very comfy!

The face and bezel really stand out, it's a unique look.

I've seen the SS Daytona on brushed bracelets in real life, never a two tone and the polished case always looks a bit off, but in this instance it seems to blend well from the pics.

I'm in the school of thought that brushed metal finishes always look classier than highly polished...

I like it....looks better IMO and closer to how Rolex does white Rolesor (which is my preference in setup i.e. bezel/case area only).

Enjoy!

Curious you chose this downplay on a TT but your watch.

Thanks for all the feedback, I thought it would be far less popular!

I know what you mean, but I've always erred on the quiet side. Only got a tt because I can't afford a ss one from the same era, and don't like how the newer ones look. I've done nothing but try and downplay it since I got it! (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=555274)

Don't get me wrong though, totally in love with it

As an owner of a Daytona T/T 116503 who adores his Watch. I'm a T/T person I've also got a Sub 116613LB But I think your Watch looks great if you don't like T/T

Yeah, PCLs always look cheap, but Rolex developed a love affair with them a few years ago (and now Omega has jumped along as a me, too).

It would make a lot more sense to offer a choice between brushed Oyster and polished Jubilee, as they did before.

Looks perfect. Love the bezel/dial combo and the brushed steel just makes it pop that much more.

WOW! Looks fantastic!!! Very unique yet still all OEM. The gold bezel on the rest of the SS look is great, almost creates a similar yet dressier "pop" like the new ceramic bezel on the 116500s.

Share some more pictures if you can, your shots are great.

Since you're asking for opinions, it's not for me, as I find that the head clashes with the SS bracelet, as does the polished SS lugs with the brushed SS bracelet.

Thanks for all the feedback :) I'll grab a couple more snaps next time I pop it on the bracelet.

Understood, completely not for everyone! But the lugs are brushed (its a 16523) so it does match that part :)

Ah, great, that's better, IMO. In the first photo, they looked polished. My mistake.
