Potential purchase
Hey TFR's looking to possibly purchase this Bi metal Submariner 16613, no box or papers.
I've been told it's a 1999 A serial. It's had a service carried out by Rolex in May 2016 and has not been worn since, all the service stickers are still on the watch and the service warranty comes with it as well. Any comments, input on this piece, its appearance and it's estimated value in (GB £) would be appreciated. TIA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Did the 99's come with no-holes?

Looks like a real beauty.
Don't know about price, but here's what I would be thinking about: With a recent service, and in pristine condition, I would imagine this will fetch a pretty penny. What you're going to have to decide is if it's going to be worth vs. what a new one with ceramic bezel and glide lock is. |

I picked up my 16613 Y serial (2002/2003) pre-owned from an AD for $7,900 USD. In my opinion it was as mint condition as a 10+ year old watch could be with a flawless bracelet and no scratches or dings.
I did not get the best deal ever on mine but was super excited and pulled the trigger when I saw the condition it was in. I have seen most Y serials go for around 7,500 USD and I bet you can get an A serial in the low 7's. Good luck!! |

It's not an "A" serial. Could be an "F" or a "D". What does the service card say it is? If it was serviced by Rolex it will have a service warranty card, or service papers at least.

Edit, not an A serial. Serial number begins with an A.
