GMT 2007 Stick + Off-Center...is this a 3186 ?

I just found a reliable online seller in my country which sells a Rolex GMT for quite a low price. To my suprise I noticed something else:

2007
Stick Dial
The "-" is off center and more to the left (GMT)

Is this guaranteed to be a 3186 calibre?
If not, is there a way to make sure besides opening the watch?

Thanks in advance !

Nope. It appears to be the late 3816 movement, but No one can guarantee without opening the case back. If the price is lower than the normal 3815 16710, then buy it. U can't loose. That said, I wouldn't pay more for a 3816.

I blame it on the autoconnect.

there is a crown test one can perform to see if the movement is 3186 without opening the case back.. has to do with amount of hours that pass when cycling the hands around the dial manually.. the 3186 gobbles up more than 3185

When "jumping" the hour hand, the 3185 jumps ~5 hours with a complete rotation of the crown; the 3186 jumps ~8.

Why not? Its the old case with the new movement and the new hairspring or whatever its called. Best of both worlds?

Nope. Have to handle the watch to know for sure, and the wiggle test and counting the number of hours jumped with one full rotation of the crown are the best ways to tell. The latter is the most definitive.

If you have the warranty paper or card it's a good indication. Most (if not all) 3186 16710 have the credit card warranty where paper warranty denotes a 3185 16710.
