Cropping/ editing pictures for FS site
There seems to be a new structure for making pictures smaller. Used to be the TRF editor did all the work, now it rejects my picture size as too large. How do you conform without making the picture blurry?
thanks. |

Editing software gives the best/pro results.
There are apps for this as well that do a o.k job. You can turn down the picture size on your phone if you don't want to resize later.

Size your photos for "web/forum" use or meet the size restrictions manually, or use a third party image host service.
Full size and full data images use up the limited Forum bandwidth.

Where are they hosted? Resizing images is simple, in Flickr you choose the size to post. Could not be any easier.

Use an app called Image Size. You choose size and add photo from your library and it does the resizing.

Rootbeer has it correct. Get the app Imagesize and it does a fast resize of your pictures and you don't have to mess with that photobucket scam anymore
Here's a pic of the app so you'll recognize it in the store It's so easy even I figured it out in <3 minutes

Well you can resize them in Photobucket but that wont matter if you are not paying the $399 a year for the ability to hot link images.

For Mac users (like me) I simply open the picture in Preview, select Tools from the menubar, and go to Adjust Size. Using the Fit Into tab, I select 640x480 and it works great. No blurring or distorting as long as you have Scale Proportionally and Resample Image boxes checked. This image weighs in at 46 KB.
