could, but as someone else said : "not prudent at the moment". plus i have too many watches right now, and if i was going to pull the trigger it would be on something other than rolex (one is enough for me) like maybe a GO senator sixties or a Grand Seiko 9F caliber high-end quartz.

To me it's a question always a question of "risk."

Some times I'm in a position to "afford" more, sometimes less. But before I go to the next step, I ask myself how likely it is that things w/ go South, to what degree, and what position I'm in against that.

Thus, short answer today: No.

Yes but I'm holding on to my money for the time being. There will always be a "right time" to purchase the next watch I want in the future.

Sure, but with a Daytona, Sub and GMTII, have no urge to buy.

No. If I want to I will sell one to get a new.

Maybe instead of asking if we can afford one now, also ask if we could afford one a year ago. Some folks may be on their way up and not down.

Yes, I can afford another Rolex.

However, with the current state of the economy I'll wait it out. Besides the fact if I was buying today...I'd be looking at Panerai

A once familiar quote from a former famous U.S. President, "It's the economy stupid."

I can get another pre-loved one if I wanted but one is enough for me.

I could do it if I wanted to but I just feel that with all the current financial uncertainty its best to hold back for a while.
