Hi fellas,
So to follow up with the thread that I started about whether go Bull or Black, I wanted to thank you for your time and opinions. It seems like on this forum, it is almost 50/50 for those two models. Yesterday, I went to meet a grey dealer and had the opportunity to try them both. I can't lie and say that it was a really hard decision for me to make. I bought new so knew that as soon as the transaction was done, I was going to take a very big hit should I part with either or in the future. Anyway after losing money in flipping watches, I strongly believe that if you buy new, that watch becomes a keeper. First, I tried the Deep Black. The feel is amazing on the wrist. The strap is really something. The way it wraps around your wrist. It goes straight down at the lugs so is perfect for small wrist like mine (6.7"). It also has a great presence without being too heavy due to the ceramic case. There was the protection sticker on the dial and I didn't ask to take it off because I know that it might have bothered the seller if I didn't buy it. Anyway, I had a good idea even with the sticker. Second, on to the Bullhead. Having had the D-Blue on my wrist for weeks as well as trying on the Deep Black first, it felt rather small. The strap is leather but looks and feel more like rubber. It is really thin so the reviews weren't lying. However, it is very comfortable. The watch is something really different and I started wondering if I really wanted something that special? The dial is amazing though. It works perfectly with the watch giving it that extra industrial look. With a watch like that, I was sure that it might take a few days to adjust. The question was: was I bold enough and ready to commit? Not that I didn't like it but as I said it is one of a kind... So after going back on forth, I wound up biting the bullet for the Bullhead. It felt the most special to me out of the two and since it is a keeper, it might become more collectible down the line. It is also a limited edition of 669 pieces so it makes sense to grab it while I can. This option also made me save $1700 that is non-negligible. So far I am loving the watch. The only negative I can comment on is the strap. It would have made more sense to integrate a rubber strap instead of leather for this SEAMASTER line. I am OCD and like to keep my watches flawless and nothing beats soap and water. The problem now is to clean the head without getting the strap wet . Also why make a watch with 150m depth rating with leather strap? Below are the pictures. I hope you guys enjoy them. By the way, does anyone know if it hurts the movement to let the chronograph running 24/7 on that model? I really like to see that red second hand in action. Have a nice day!!! 22405440_370935076662449_5591402217828896431_n.jpg 22310600_370935056662451_2898226822502752262_n.jpg 114.jpg 113.jpg 112.jpg 111.jpg 110.jpg 109.jpg 108.jpg 107.jpg 106.jpg 105.jpg 104.jpg 103.jpg 102.jpg 101.jpg 100.jpg |

Congrats on that big boy! I am a huge fan of the Deep Black, but I admire that you had the sack to take the road less traveled.
Regarding running the chrono non-stop - with the calibre 3113 in there you can run the chrono all you like without any drop in amplitude or extra wear on the movement. The movement is of the column wheel/vertical clutch variety, so you'll be alright. Enjoy! |

Congratulations on the pick up! While I mentioned in your other thread my preference for the Deep Black, there wasn't a wrong choice between the two. You got yourself one attractive and unique piece with the Bullhead. Enjoy it!!
